Asks ChatGPT Straight into ChatGPT, question already written.

  1. Ask anything, from the tab you already opened

    No going to a site first, no clicking into a chat box. Type the question where you were already typing and hit Enter.

  2. Or skip the AI entirely

    Type a site and you land on it. Archer works out which one you meant without you flagging it, so the same box does both jobs all day.

  3. Save the prompts you keep retyping

    Write a good one once, give it a name, and a slash brings it back. Leave blanks in it and Tab jumps between them, so the same prompt works for a different topic every time.

  4. Or get the answer without leaving

    For the quick ones, the answer can appear right on the new tab and you carry on. Nothing opens, nothing to close.

Pick one and every question opens there, already typed out and waiting for you to send. The buttons sit right above the box, so switching mid thought takes one click. Hold Shift or Command as you press Enter to override it for a single line.

Five minutes, once.

Archer is not in the Chrome Web Store yet, so you add it yourself. Four steps, and you never do it again.

  1. Download it

    Open the project page, click the green Code button, then Download ZIP. Unzip it somewhere you will remember, like your Documents folder.

  2. Open Chrome's extensions page

    Type chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter. Turn on Developer mode with the switch in the top right corner.

  3. Add the folder

    Click Load unpacked, then find the folder you unzipped and choose the one inside it called extension. Not the outer folder, the one named extension.

  4. Open a new tab

    That is it. Nothing to sign in to, nothing to set up.
